OCB Osteopaths: Our Services
At OCB Osteopaths, we believe in treating the whole body rather than treating an injury or medical issue in isolation. That’s why we offer a range of services to help improve movement and restore function. Read on to find out more.
The typical issues we are asked to manage include: postural problems related to pregnancy or work; back pain, repetitive strain, sports injuries, pain due to arthritis and unsettled babies and toddlers.
Osteopaths diagnose and treat painful joints and muscles using massage, mobilisation and manipulation techniques, the aims being to improve movement, ease muscle spasm and enhance blood supply.
Corrective and therapeutic exercises are also prescribed to address faulty movement patterns that have been adopted in the presence of pain. These encourage relaxation and a return to normal function.
Sports Injury Management
We can help you to recover from injury, resolve postural issues that may be contributing to the injury and pain and improve movement efficiency to prevent recurrence.
We use manual therapy and rehabilitation exercises to help with injury recovery. Rehab and corrective exercise prescription ensure that you re-train properly, reducing the risk of re-injury on your return to sport.
